At Sully.ai, he served as Chief Medical Officer and Founding Medical Director of one of the leading healthcare AI companies, pioneering the development of next-generation clinician-support tools spanning automated chart review, intelligent treatment planning, and medical reasoning, now deployed across millions of patient visits. He co-led the company's medical AI research division and chaired its clinical advisory board. He has also advised leading companies in the space, including Scale AI, Doximity, and several other health tech startups.
As Founder and CEO of myPEAK, Dr. Patel bootstrapped a health and wellness brand to over 500 percent year-over-year growth, seven-figure revenues, and national recognition, with products featured in more than 1,000 media outlets and multiple awards, all while he was a medical student.
He is now building Sage, a digital-first, AI-integrated telepsychiatry company designed to solve the two biggest failures in mental healthcare: access and quality. The premise is simple but demanding. The standard of care a patient receives should not depend on geography, insurance, or the ability to travel.
Dr. Patel brings rare tri-disciplinary expertise spanning medicine, technology, and business. He uses that integrated perspective to advance healthcare systems, guide responsible technology adoption, and humanize the future of care. He holds an MD and an MBA in Healthcare Innovation, completed clinical training at the Medical College of Georgia and Brown University, and earned advanced certifications in Healthcare Administration, AI, and Data Science from Stanford, Vanderbilt, and the University of London. He is board-certified by the American Board of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine.
His academic contributions include multiple peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and two forthcoming books.
