Dr. Patel’s career bridges both ends of that spectrum, the deeply personal and the profoundly systemic. As a fellowship-trained researcher and adult, child & adolescent psychiatrist he works one-on-one with patients and families navigating trauma, mental illness, and healing. At the same time, as an AI healthcare leader and entrepreneur, he builds technologies and systems that have impacted millions.
At Sully.ai, he served as Chief Medical Officer and Founding Medical Director of one of the leading Healthcare AI companies, pioneering the creation of next-generation clinician-support tools, from automated chart review to intelligent treatment planning and medical reasoning, now deployed across millions of patient visits. He also co-led the company’s medical AI research division and chaired its clinical advisory board.
As the Founder and CEO of myPEAK, Dr. Patel bootstrapped an innovative health & wellness brand to over 500% year-over-year growth, 7-figure revenues, and national recognition, with products featured in more than 1,000 media outlets and multiple awards while he was a medical student.
Dr. Patel is a Physician–Leader–Innovator with a rare tri-disciplinary expertise spanning medicine, technology, and business. He leverages this integrated perspective to advance healthcare systems, drive technology adoption, and humanize the future of care.
He has an MD, an MBA with a focus in Healthcare Innovation, clinical training from Medical College of Georgia and Brown University, as well as advanced certifications in Healthcare Administration, AI and Data Science from Stanford, Vanderbilt, and the University of London. He is also board-certified by the American Board of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine.
His academic contributions include multiple peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters, and the two upcoming books, Trauma Transformed, which explores the intersection of trauma, resilience, and post-traumatic growth and The Future of AI in Healthcare, which explores how AI will transform medicine over the next decade and beyond.

Dr. Patel has extensive entrepreneurial, executive, and advisory experience. As the Founding Medical Director and later Chief Medical Officer at Sully.ai, he helped shape the company’s vision at the intersection of artificial intelligence and clinical medicine. In parallel, as the Founder and former CEO of myPEAK, he built a physician-formulated wellness brand from the ground up, scaling it to 7-figure growth and national recognition.
